What you want with any script in the beginning stages is to clear away the distractions and lay a nice, solid foundation for your story to catapult from. This evaluation encompasses a basic analysis of story and character together with a breakdown of overall stregnths and weaknesses. You'll also get your original script back with any notes that have been made on it.

Scripts further along in the writing process can blossom with a more in depth analysis. In this step, we focus on the details: story, characters, setting, plot development & finding ways to increase the impact you want to have on your audience. This includes an overview of general impressions of your script and a one hour consultation (in Toronto, over the phone or on SKYPE) so nothing is lost in translation. Plus, like the Script Help 1.0, the return of the original script with any notes that have been made on it.

Movin' On Up
Sometimes you want a script consultant available over a longer period of time to help from start to pseudo finish. (‘cause let’s face it, a script is never truly ‘finished’ until it’s in the can) Ongoing help with a deeper purpose (log lines, one pages, treatments; help with specific scene problems, story issues, or in depth character and dialogue questions; story arcs, resolutions, etc.) is based on compatibility and mutual availability.

The same in depth analysis goes for your tv scripts. Whether you’re breaking a spec, or it’s your own original television pilot, tv is formatted to the nanosecond, with conventions that can be broken down and used as guideposts. Learn to use them to your advantage.
